I have a 55 gallon and a 70 gallon aquaclear with a large long air stone.

the entire surface is moving constantly.

I have 2 goldfish - I ordered another 50 gallon aquaclear for extra filtration - is this too much?

Also, when I'm feeding them all this movement tosses the food around - is this ok or am i suppose to turn off the filter when feeding? thanks*

Sorry if my post was confusing.... I have a 55 gallon tank with an aquaclear filter that is for up to 70 gallons. I ordered another aquaclear for up to 50 gallons to put on other side of tank.

You'll be fine with the 2 filters. There will be a less turbid area in the middle for fish that don't care for current.

thanks* - so is it ok if the large air stone is in the middle? or should I keep that on the side under one of the filters?
