Hey guys,

Can comebody tell me what are the fish's symptoms having too much fertilizer (P, K, I, N, etc) before the fish die and what I can do to prevent it ????

Thanks

Seranko

Well you would have to actually get the nitrates very high to kill many fish. I have seen tanks with nitrates in the range of 150 ppm and the fish were fine. What exactly is your question or problem?

As to prevent it water changes, water testing, be aware of what you are doing and don't over fertilize the tank.

Unless you have some fragile fish, I would agree that excess nutrients is more the issue. I over fertilize (based on the bottle recommendations) for my liquid fertilizers since I am running carbon filters.
