I have a couple of Anubias plants i am attaching to rocks. One of them is in a pretty elevated position and the roots are now growing off into space. I would prefer to have the rock coated in green roots ASAP so i'd like to trim the roots close to the rock to encourage lots of branching roots to cover the stone in green and in the direction i want. Will it harm the Anubias or should i go ahead and trim the longer roots back to where i want? There is a $50 plant on driftwood at my LFS the looks like it could be a few months old with the exception of the root system on the wood. I'd like to fast track my Anubias to look like that if possible. I will google for an image like it.

I don't like to cut anubia roots if possible. If you do cut them only do a couple roots at a time so as not to shock the plant.
