Hello
My problem is as follows: I set up a 40 gallon tank for a map turtle. I added a pleco to the tank during the end of the cycle, and the pleco has ich. So I have removed the pleco to a 10g QT tank and treated with API super ich treatment. I tried to raise temp in 40, heater blew. Sitting at 80. My question is, can I treat the turtle-tank-to be with the super ich treatment and then do large water changes before I get the turtle or will the meds be in the tank somehow and harm the turtle? I can't salt because the tank is planted. Will the ick go away on it's own without a host? How long before I seem it safe to add the turtle? Thanks!
