Upgrading tank :)

Hey, I'm upgrading from a 180litre tank to a 240. Was just wondering if it would need cycling? I've had the previous tank for just over a year including the decorations and filters. Is it healthy for the fish to just put them in the new tank with the old filters? As they already cope with the fish waste etc they should be able to on the new tank I'm thinking. Or will it cause a mini cycle?

You might be ok but I would expect a mini cycle.

Okay so do it and then test the water maybe daily? Just to be on the safe side!

How did it go for you? Curious as I'm about to upgrade from a 55 gal to 120 gal and hoping that the existing filter will be enough to avoid a new cycle. Would be very interested to hear if your new tank went into a new cycle.
