Using plastic tubing as plant ties?

So I can't locate any fish line to tie my java moss to my driftwood so I was wondering if I could use the plastic tubing for apple headphones to tie it down. All the metal wiring has been removed obviously

Sorry spell check( lol ) um thread can be used or a rubber band/ hair tie.

I would go with the fishing line. The java moss will cover it up more quickly. That's just my opinion though.
