UV Sterilizer and protain skimmer

While am cycleing a 14gal bio cube should I use the uv UV Sterilizer and protein skimmer while tank is cycleing?

Probably not the UV but you can use the skimmer to help break it in.

Alot of people dont use the UV during cycling but I`m almost inclined to use it as it would help to get rid of algea spores that might be floating around the aquarium that most assuredly will come during the cycle.

Mike does bring up a good point. Do keep in mind the UV will only kill what goes through it and is not a cure all for the tank.

you cold use 'em. its not like it would hurt anything
