Hi I was wondering if anyone has seen this disease before my venustus has like white growths coming through his scales , also has frayed fins too wondering what it could be and treatment recommended , thanks guys

Agreed. Looks like ich. Ich can be easily treated with heat, or a combination of heat and salt. Best of luck!

African Cichlids are my drug
 
The frayed fins could be a tank mate picking on him. At night. The reason a say this is because I used to have a male auratus who was a serial killer. At night during the day all my cichlids would go about doing normal cichlid habits grazing on algae and what not. And I couldnt figure out who was doing the attacks so i stayed up one night to see if i could catch the culprit sure enough its was my male auratus

Hi it's at about 28 degrees mate and I got some water life protizen so I'll start treating straight away
