I'm wondering if there is any cons against using clear vinyl flex tubing from home depot for use between my sump and overflow box. I thought I read something about it awhile back, but can't remember whether it was good or bad. Thanks

That is exactly what I use. I secured it to the overflow via a hose clamp. Works great...

Most will use a kink resistant tubing rather than vinyl. If the line will be completely straight, then I don't see a problem, but even the slightest bend can end in kink and water on the floor. You can use PVC as well as the reinforced vinyl.

I agree with RR. Mine is extremely kink resistant. In fact, it has thread laced inside the tubing so that it can hardly bend at all. It was actually hard to get it to take the form I needed it to.

It curves slightly from being on a roll but I have not made it bend to fit at all so I think it should be fine then. thanks for the info guys.
