So recently ive been trying to cycle my tank with live plants in it and ive had the ammonia drop before but i made a mistake of trying to let it drop to zero before adding in more ammonia which would starve my bacteria. So i added ammonia again to around 4ppm and its been about two weeks with any sort of change. Ive been having other problems with some hygrophila plants in my tanks so i added more potassium but from a thread before i found out it might just be some trace elements that im missing and im adding to much potassium, i dont know if this would kill off my bacterial colony or not but usual around this time i would see a drop in ammonia but it just hovers around there. So should i do a water change and start all over or just be a little more patient?
