Water evaporating

Any way to stop or slow it down? Temp is 73°F. I'm losing a centimeter every 2-3 days. No leaks.

I'd love to evaporate the waste! I think you meant water evaporation.
Unless your system is totally sealed I don't think you can do much about it. Best you can do is put a tight cover, I don't bother, just top it of with fresh water.

Gilpi is right. I have found the more the tank is covered the slower it evaporates. On some of my hoods, especially those with jumper fish, I cut out a piece of cardboard to fit in around any filters and then wrap it in saran wrap. I then fill in the holes as best I can which keeps my fish from committing suicide. This also keeps the water from evaporating as quickly as it normally would.

Thank you! I'll have to try it!

if your losing 2-4 cm a week it should be no problem , just refill it when you do your weekly water change

What kind of filter are you using? 2-4cm per week is quite a bit.

Is your tank covered?

Yes covered and its a Tetra HOB 10 gallon filter.
