water change

am just doing my first water change . i have had the water in a sealed container for 4 days . i just checked the graverty and it was at 0 i have put a power head in and started mixing it and it has gone up to 1023 . willthis water be ok to put in the tank or do i need to keep mixing it.

that will be OK. Are you testing with a refractometer or a hydrometer.

If you ever go reef I would suggest around 1.025 or 6.
