So I was looking at my tank today and the noticed the water seems like its evaporating pretty quickly. Probably lost a lil more than a quarter inch and my last water change was about ten days ago. I dunno if I never noticed before or what just has me a lil weary. I've checked all around the tank and filter and there is no water leaking. Does it really evaporate that quickly?? Steady at 80 degrees

Ya, you'll notice it a lot more during the winter months as well with your furnace on. I probably lose close to a gallon a day in both my 46s (sw and FW).

Aight thanks just had me worried for a lil thought I had a slow leak or something and my tank is pretty close to the vent

Assuming you're from the Burgh given your user name.. Cold dry weather this time of year and our furnaces running full time. I'd say I see about the same, if not more, evaporation than you do on my 75g open top.
