So in my 40g hex I have a water fall alittle bit of water is splashing and hitting my light is that a problem

It doesn't seem to hurt it I just dont want it to blow up lol that would be bad

I've had the output nozzle of my fluval spray all over the hood and bulbs. It happened overnight so i don't know how long it happened for. It was fine. Most hoods have something that guard the pins and connectors with a water seal. In my case it was something i screwed over the pins and connectors. As long as its not a ton of water you should be ok.
