Water temp

Just started my fishless cycle tonight, and noticed the temp wouldn't go below 80. Is this normal, does it take time to go down?

Do you have a heater or is the temperature of your home really high? I wouldnt really worry too much about the temp (as long as it stays steady) unless you plan on coldwater fish.

80 is good for most fish other than cold water fish like goldfish, but I don't recommend putting them in a tank under 100 gallons. Also as for all I know, the growing bacteria will not effect your water's temperature. If I am wrong someone please tell me, but I have never heard or such a thing.
