I am trying really hard to take a picture of these tiny little translucent slugs that are on the glass of my planted aquarium
I don't know what they are, I just now saw them.
They are about 1 millimeter long and have two tiny antenna.
They are just moving around on the glass and see about 6 of them here is a picture I don't know how good is going to be..
Any ideas?

Are they ok? Must have come in on the plants... Kinda gross... Lol

I see about 5...

They are potentially gross, but they're really not harmful and probably a healthy part of the ecosystem of a tank. They can potentially take over if you over feed or if maintenance standards aren't up to snuff.

Thanks :)
This will be interesting to watch them grow, I assume they will grow ...

((BTW.... love Bill Nye))

Pond snail babies!! I have a couple. Interesting surprise when you first spot them.

Ok the cute has passed, my 5 gallon fluval spec is being overrun with these little meemoos .
I'm not the "crushing" type of person, I would rather let the natural cycle of nature do its job.
What type of fish would you recommend to live happily in this 5 gallon tank that would enjoy dining on these ever multiplying snails.

ok, gonna google them, there are no fish in this tank yet.
i added 50% of the water from my cycled 80g, and a scoop of its gravel to help it get going. and it has been running almost a month now.
will the Dwarf puffer be happy alone?
can i put an oto in there with it to eat the algae?

oh and rivercats, i love your tank! i put dwarf baby tears in my substrate as well, but it all died :(

i know since im new to live plants that im gonna lose more than survive, but i was sad to see the tears fail

I don't have any dwarf puffers but am considering 1 or 2 in my 6g Fluval Edge. So you'd have to see if 1 is suitable. I do know they do not play well with others so I don't think even an oto would fare well.

If your having an algae issue try running your lights only 6 hours a day. That's what I do in my 2 Fluval Edge's. That really makes a difference.

Thanks for the compliment but the HC/dwarf baby tears might have died if your tank didn't meet their growing requirements which would be high light, good ferts, and CO2 or at least liquid carbon. Before adding plants to your tank figure out if you have low, med, or high light. Then pick plants that are recommended for that light range. Also using liquid carbon if not CO2 to help with plant photosynthesis and growth is a big plus. Then proper ferts for the type plants and light you have. You don't have to lose a bunch of plants.

thanks!, the algae isnt too bad, theres some on my driftwood.
i have flourish excel for the plants, no co2 though
however i have not been able to figure out how much to put in, as its one very small capful for 50 gallons and the tank is only 5. i have been using a small ml syringe to squirt in the excel.
i thought maybe it was because my substrate was on top of the tears. it wouldnt stay down otherwise, the roots were so so tiny.

I use 1.5ml of excel in our 2 Fluval Edge 6g tanks daily. I also use a syringe to dose with.

my new Dwarf puffer

thank you so much for the advice, i found myself a little dwarf/pea puffer and he has already had a couple of nice snacks.
here are some pictures of my new little dude, i still need to name him, i want to see how he does for a few days, to get a feel for his/or her demeanor
