For anyone aquarist near Washington, PA a visit to Wet Pets and Friends is a literal must do trip. I personally live about one and a half hours from Wet Pets and make a trip out nearly once a week, simply because this is a great place to be if you love fresh or saltwater fish and want to shop at a knowledgeable, ethical aquarium outlet. In reality I would recommend any aquarist from the tri-state (MD, PA, WV) area take a day trip and visit Wet Pets and Friends for themselves. They are sure to be impressed by the high quality in store display tanks, excellent selection of exciting fish species, and extreme wealth of knowledge that can be gained by talking with the employees.

Wet pets contains many of the fish that are hard to find in other aquarium retail shops. Many exotic saltwater species and a variety of exotic freshwater fish can all be found at Wet Pets and Friends. Discus, rare plecos, and more are all part of the gang when visiting this unique aquarium outlet. Author Julian Sprung, and Michael Paletta have endorsed and held seminars at Wet Pets and after visiting the store it will become clear why this shop has garnished such positive publicity within the hobby.

To contact Wet Pets and Friends call (724) 942 – 4442 . oh that is too bad fluff. its a really nice store. Mike Palenta who has traveled the world looking at fish stores claims he has not found a nicer store anywhere. its an exciting place, I love it.

Well, I will keep it in mind. It's not unheard of for us to just hop in the van and drive a few hours to check out a different fish store. We did a run to Dr Mac & Sons and that was about 4hrs away. And it was a Sunday I believe. lol I never say never. :D

Cindy,

I would probably be really worth your while to take a day and go up to wet pets. If you do call and see if Brian is going to be in when you go, he is the owner and a real expert on a variety of aquarium topics, Im sure he would be glad to show you around some.
