Hi all! I’m new here. I have a 5 gallon with a male betta fish. I tested the water frequently and everything looks good. Yesterday I bought a new aquarium plant and introduced to my aquarium along with some pest snails and two ghost shrimps. This morning, I noticed there are some white stick like things at the bottom of the aquarium sticking in the gravels. Do any of you know what that is? Where was it from? Is it harmful? Should I clean the tank? Thank you and your advice is much appreciated!

Take some out and see if that tells you anything. Looks like round bits of plastic to me. Does your tank have a lid? Might something have fallen in?

Yes there’s a lid. Not sure if it’s from either the plant or the pest snails that was introduced to the tank from last night. All happened overnight.
