I just noticed these scurrying all over a log i purchased a month ago. There are live plants in there. WHERE DID THEY COME FROM? What are they? How do i get rid of them/ keep them from harming my fish?

They look like they might be amphipods. They're just too small in the pic to be sure. Google it and see if that's what they are.
