What do you know about lamp eye tetras?

I have a 55 gal fw tank that currently houses 11 fish.
2 mollies, 1 platy, 2 variatis, 1 skirt tetra, 1 minor tetra, 2 torpedo barbs, 1 dwarf gourami, and 1 lamp eye tetra.
The lamp eye, gourami, and barbs are new.
I have since read that the tetra is a schooling fish and needs to be in a group of 3 or more. Will this fish do okay in the group that I have, or should I get a few more lamp eyes? I also read that a group can make them bully one another. Does anyone have experience with this fish?

Actually tetras do better in groups of 5 or more. I would recommend some more of each tetra and some more barbs as well, just don't overstock. Btw, red eye tetras are the same species. Let me google that for you
