Don't want to offend you but that's entirely too small for A.C. You need a minimum of 55 gallons for them and lots of filtration/hiding spots. I would suggest you do some research on them before going any further.
 
With a 10 gallon tank your options will be very very limited. Maybe a school of 6 small tetras, maybe a betta. Pygmy cories could work for bottom feeders.
 
In a ten with very good filtration a small group of shell dwellers are possible

Would it hurt you to just look up the basics of African tanks before deciding on setting one up?

Okay, look. If you want cichlids , and I'm assuming those are yellow labdichromus or however that's spelled, you will need at least a 33 long for the pair I believe. If you want more than that, a fifty is appropriate.
