What fish is this?

Came with the tank. The others were pretty easy to identify. This one I am not sure of. He is pretty large and the wife is set on getting rid of him.

How big is that, looks kinda like a Purple Chromis (Chromis scotti).

I would guess he is probably 6-7 " tip to tail.

looks like a freshwater panfish! i have never seen anything like that. seriously thought it kind of has the look of some sort of dwarf angel. the perctoral fins have those tiny little threads sticking off the end that most dwarf angels have and the mouth also looks correct. this is just a guess though

I agree it looks like some type of damselfish or chromis.

Only one problem, the max adult size is only 10 cm (4"). Still a possibility but I would look for something that gets upwards of 15-20 cm.

Steve, the size thing caught my eye as well. Though I have seen many mutants in the animal world. So you just never know... 8O
