What happened to my mushroom?

Hi guys,
I noticed my mushroom shriveled up and staying in the same place for a few days. It has now opened up a bit and moved but has left some white rimmed pink things behind. I have attached a photo but the quality is not very good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any reason it is on your sandbed? It looks like you have some issues with your sandbed. How is the flow? How old is the tank? Parameters?

I originally placed it on a piece of rock but it just made it's way down to the sandbed. The perameters are fine. Nitrate, Nitrate and Ammonia all 0. Ph 8.3. The tank is about 6 months old.

Ok, they will detach and float around til they are happy. How is the flow in the tank?

It isn't too strong. I don't know precisely but I would say about roughly 100lph.

You need more flow. Flow brings food to and waste away from corals. That and it will prevent the settling and issues you are having in your sandbed.
