Hello everyone, just thought I would start a thread where you can brag, show off or just announce something you have done for your tank today.

Ill start,
I gave my tank a small cleaning and installed my new Eheim Jager heater and new air pump.

I bought an Fx5 canister filter for my 55 gallon to replace my two hang on back filters. I hope my fish are appreciative.

Just got in a new tek- light from ups about an hour ago,...no bulbs yet ( Wednesday) .. But just the main assembly......yeppie, another toy !!!

They love it... lol

Still have the two hang on back filters running for a while, but it's fun seeing the fish trying to swim in the flow from the FX5 outlet.

I did my weekly water tests. Fed everyone their "treats" of frozen mysis shrimp and glass worms. Trimmed some very well growing plants. And topped it all off with rubbing the belly of one of our featherfin cats, Fatboy.

I got 4 VHO bulbs for my tank today as well as 2 sponge protectors for my mag pumps and all the filters and deionized unit for my RO/DI. That should be enough for a few months.

Working today (24 hour shifts) so tomorrow im going to test my water on my 2 tanks and make sure the baby guppies are doing good maybe trim up my plants and clean the glass on my big tank!!

I fed my fishes and checked the temp on both my tanks with an electronic thermometer .

Today I did a 50% PWC on both my 45 and 10 gallon tank. I also rearrange and relandscaped the 45 gallon tank. Now my fish have more room to swim freely . I also had my 8 yr old Lilly help me do tests on the levels. She now knows what color each tube need to be and why. She is very smart and remembers everything so I'm testing her next time we do it to see what she remembers.

Today, I painted the back of my new 55g aquarium. It was the WORST day to pick to paint, as the humidity is high, and the wind is howling. Ugh, and I'm only on coat 2. I have a long way to go to get this thing set up.

My 8 year old LIlly that I taught to do the liquid test did them all by herself today showing her cousin how to do the drops and read the colors : ) and we named the red tailed shark Julius Ceasar.
