Im gonna get a satelite compact fluorescant fixture hood that has 40 watts and a lunar light.

1) What Are Lunar Lights??
2) Is this lighting good enough for corals such as starburst polyps?

Lunar lights are LED lights that give off a dimm glow. Some are blue and some are white depending on the make of fixture. What size tank are you attempting to light. Although it is just an estimate you can use 4-5 watts per gallon as a good line for easy corals.

A 40 w bulb for the 10 gal would be fine for easy corals. Be sure to get a 50/50 bulb since the fixture only has a single bulb. This would be half white and half actintic.

A lunar light will do nothing for your corals. It is really just for looks. they cast a moonlight type shimmer into the water at night when the other lights are out. Very cool to watch.

The Bulb is 50/50 it says it on the link , so will i be able to keep the following corals??

Xenia
Button polyps
yellow colony polyps
Brain coral ????????

What'll happen if its not 50/50 ? can u guys recomend a 40 - 50 watt 50/50 buld for corals in a reef tank for my 10 gallon?? any thing lower that 75.00???
