I found a random ball in my 45g tank one day and thought it was just a metal ball, but decided to leave it be because the last time I decided to move a random ball, I killed a couple eggs :nono:.
Anyway, a small little silver orb appear inside one of my Amazon Umbrella plants, by the roots. After a couple weeks, I noticed it turning brownish with a slight crack of a line down the middle of it. I've never seen anything like it.
I'll upload some pics of what I am talking about. I have no clue how it got there. I dropped in a similar looking metal ball and I will wait and see what happens to that ball. Attached are some before/after pictures. I moved a cave that was next to the plants.

Denizens are-

Opaline Gourami, Rainbow Shark, Angelfish, Black Neon Tetra, Otocinclus, and Zebra Danios.
Also had some Ghost Shrimp, but I don't think Miss Rainbow liked them. Also had a rubber lip pleco, but it's since passed away. Had some German Blue Rams, but unable to keep them alive - they kept killing each other.

Sorry, the pictures are really really crappy and do not distinguish much. In reality, the balls look a lot more brown, there seems to be a little split down the middle, and a circular uprising in one particular area. It also seems to be more translucent.

Does it move? If I were you I'd take it out to get a closer look.
