I need a better picture of the fish.
It looks like excess mucous but could be something else.
How long has the tank been set up?
What is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH of the water?
How long have you had the fish for?
How long has it had the white patch on the side of the body?
Is the fish still eating?
What does its poop look like?
What other fish are in the tank?
How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the aquarium?
What sort of filter is on the tank?
How often and how do you clean the filter?
