What is this little critter?

This is a slow moving thing on the glass of my nano aquarium... You can see it over the bamboo shrimp in the pic.

Looks like it. Or it could be a mature snail. I found some small snails with flat shells (think cinnamon rolls) in my garden pond. Unlike ramshorn snails, they carried their shell parallel to the surface they were crawling on. And they stayed small (rice grain size).

Cool I'll see what happens to it with time - it does seem to carry its shell parallel to the glass rather than perpendicular... although googling "baby ramshorn snail" does bring up some doppelgangers!
