what is this on my betta?

Is it a pimple? I was told it was by the store but it keeps growing and he might be getting more on his other side.
He lives in a five gallon tank by himself (he is in a breeding box in the picture for pictures). Ive had him since may.

Are you talking about the little white spots? They might be ich, but I am not positive about this.
