What is this on my driftwood?

I just added my new driftwood to my tank 2 days ago and I didn't boil it because it's to big! But I did spray it off really good!! I'm just freaking out

Bio slime many call it.
Very common and no big deal.
Some fish and shrimp actually eat it.
It will go away in time.
Don't worry.

+1000 it's quite common and is totally harmless. Large pieces of wood it can actually make a mess if disturbed.

Hi!! I have 2 large pieces that I couldn't boil either. It took a full month but it finally went away. It pretty much took over both pieces. But in the meantime....yuck!!
