I have several of these in my tank and I dont know if they are harmful or safe or what. If they are bad how do you get rid of them? Please help.
Thanks in advance

Ahhhh apatasia!!! Ha it's a type of anem. But they can spread very fast. Id get some peppermint shrimp. That's what I did and they cleared it out.

I have a 55 gal tank how many would I need?

If you dont want to introduce new creatures you could get aiptasia x. Just read the instructions and kill them! lol

Aiptasia-X, Joe's Juice, kalk, etc. will kill them. Peppermints can be hit and miss and sometimes get picky. Not to mention that there are 2 species in the hobby labeled as "peppermint shrimp". One of which won't touch aiptasia at all. They are cool shrimp though. If you get them, get them because they're cool and don't count on them eating the aips.
