A long time ago I had Riccia until it all but a few strands in the filter died
There are now thick, long pieces growing that look nothing like Riccia flutians
They are about an inch long with two forked pieces on each end and 5 millimeters wide
They are bright green
Can anyone Id them? I'm sorry but I can't post photos
They look like someone drew a line with a neon green marker and put a V on each end
They started growing like this this morning- yesterday they looked like Riccia, thin, long, straight pieces that are bright green

It could be algae or riccia that got away (riccia is like that). Without a picture it's very difficult to know what you're talking about.

I just realized it is also rooted in my filter cartridge! I ripped a little off and tossed it in the tank and my guppies immediately ate it lol
I don't mind it because if it grows over the edge of the filter it will look pretty cool
