What is this?

It's grubfish or sandperch, Parapercis schauinslandi. These are sometime sold as gobies (red checkered goby is one of the names used), but they are not at all closely related. They are fairly predatory as well, and will pick of any fishes, shrimps, etc., that they can fit in their mouths.

We had a pair of clowns when he was put in the tank. He killed the small one then a few days later the biger one disapeared. Then we got 2 more clowns and now the small one is dead.
 
What Andy Sager said is true, but the situation is often even worse for marine aquarium fishes, as suppliers often simply make up names. Some of these names are very misleading (as in this case ... it behaves like neither a goby or a blenny), but more importantly do not allow the hobbyist to search out information on the species. Sometimes the made-up names catch on, leading to some accumulation of information on the internet or in other sources, but even so, there is usually much more information out there under the scientific names. That is one reason why I always try to provide accurate scientific names when I identify fish on this forum.
