What is this??

What is this red coral?? My boyfriend works on a charter fishing boat and they pulled this up today. We put it in filtering water for a few hours to get any harmful things out. Please help me identify this! I appreciate it

Looks like 2 corals on it. Once things adjust it'll be easier to tell what it could be.

Also as an FYI, it can be pretty illegal to pull stones out of the ocean like that. Obviously too late now and was accidental to begin with, but just passing on not common knowledge.
