I just found this creature in my 30 gal tank. Does anyone know what it is?? I'm on my way to classes so I can't take it out like I wanted, is this thing bad?
Looks like a fly nymph, have you recently purchased plants or driftwood?
Looks like a dragonfly nymph. I had one in my shrimp tank, I just removed it with a pair of twister.
Agree on the damsel fly because of the slender body shape. In the adult form, I believe when resting, dragon flies hold their wings out sideways while damsel flies fold their wings back.
Did you catch it yet??id be camped out in front the tank with a turkey baster haha
Oh I thought op just noticed a dragon fly on the ceiling, haha either way..OP says that it left the tank and went airborne; found it on the ceiling
