What is your favorite freshwater fish?

Out of all the fish I've kept, so far my favorites are German blue rams. They have such personalities and mine have come to know me, and my female follows my finger on the glass like an eager little puppy.

Second favorite has to be bettas, since they were the fish that got me interested in the hobby when I read about them having personality when I had always thought of fish as... Well, dumb pets, to put it bluntly. Bettas opened up a whole new world for me.

Third, pea puffers. I so want to keep one once I get another tank set up, or my ten gallon becomes available. I think they're darling and would love to set up an ideal little tank for one. In the meantime... Well I'm reading up on dwarf gouramis. I might look into one for my 38 gallon....once I add a lot more plants.
