A clearer picture would help but it looks like a carnation coral. If that's the case, they are very difficult to keep.

I have one and as fluff said they are difficult to keep. Mine is in my avatar.

The guy at the LFS told me that the strawberry/peach ones need lots of current and low light but that the purple ones prefer more light. Is that true?

Thanks!

Also agree it looks like a carnation. Light is not a issue with them. Low flow and light is there preferred setting. Problem is they require constant feeding, to the point that it will fowl your water.

definately looks like a carnation coral to me. their survival rate in captivity is horrible though, so if you manage to keep it alive and happy for more than a few months, then you are one of the few people that can!
good luck
