What kind of coral was this?

I'm gonna use this for a science project and it probably wouldn't hurt to know exactly what it was, something I found on the beach, so I didn't kill this coral in my tank....

Looks like a favia brain coral skeleton. They make great rocks because of the holes for the bacteria to thrive. More surface area. Rice rock
