What kind of cory is this

Friend gave me this guy he didn't know what type of Cory it is

Yeah I have a peppered Cory and that's what it looks like to me

I also have 2 and it seems it is just a little dark. Maybe from stress or something else....

They will seem to lighten up and darken due to their substrate it seems too. I had mine with black gravel and they looked like your pics and now they have distinct "peppered" spots on them from being in a sand substrate.
