What kind of fish is this?

Hi, we found this fish at our local petsmart. I guess it was brought in by someone getting rid of their tank. We are just trying to find out if anyone knows what kind of cichlid it is? Thank You in advance!!

looks like he got beat up in his old tank by the fin damage.

Definitely an African cichlid of some sort, looks like a peacock.
