What Plant is this?

I bought this little plant the other day and it's growing beautifully. It wasn't marked and when I asked what it was, the guy said" Wisteria" and I'm pretty sure he's wrong because wisteria was planted right next to this. It's tall...and... here are the pics (sorry they are of poor quality!)

The scientific name of wisteria is hygrophila difformis: difformis meaning two forms. I think you have the emersed grown (out of the water grown) version of the plant. Over time it will convert to submersed. Many plants grow like this: out of the water and then are ready to adapt to underwater growth in times of flooding.
