So I have two adult Africans in my tank and I want to add a pleco but everything stores sell seem to small. Would they get eaten?

I'm not sure if they would be eaten for being to small as I don't know that much about cichlids but if you want a bigger one, you could check your local Craigslist. People on my Craigslist are always trying to re-home there really big plecos.

When I added a pleco to my tank I made sure it was at least 3" anything smaller I was afraid it was gonna get picked on.
Either way my pleco gets nipped at every now and again. But they have a hard shell and should be able to withstand it as long as they don't get stressed.

My petsmart has some rubber lips I might try one of those

I had a pleco with my cichlids in a 40 gal. He didn't make it threw his fist night. Its worth the risk though some cichlids are more aggressive then others.
