What temperature should the water be

I ask this question because my tank is situated above a boiler and with the heating on it ranges from 25-27.
 
I try to keep mine between 70-80 degrees F. Usually about 78.

some fluctuation is ok. Mike Poletta has an interesting idea about that. He likes it because it allows his corals to to be more "hardy" in case something goes wrong like a stuck heater, power outage, etc.
 
It only moves by a degree or so. In nature the sea temp must change from day and night?
 
I alwats suggest 78 - 82. The key is stability though. Always keep it where you can keep it stable.
 
It is worrying me a bit. Like you say I need to keep it stable
 
Mine does change from day to night ,
The heater doesn't normally run all day
But at night it comes on a few times .
The tank is a little cooler in the morning before the lights come on .
 
Same here. My tank starts at 78 and if my apartment is warm may hit 80. I've never had issues personally
