I may be able to offer an explanation I think it may if been swim bladder disease it strikes in mins and kills them fast

The fish may have had a sudden rupture of the swim bladder, which could have been from genetic causes, not unlike an aneurysm in humans.
Inbreeding is so common in many fish, and even wild caught are not guaranteed to be outstanding genetic specimens. From the frantic behaviour, I'd think it was in sudden pain, or had a neurological event, perhaps akin to a stroke. A swim bladder rupture would cause pain and instant trouble swimming.
There is so much that is simply not known about ornamental fish. Most research is done on food fish, not those kept for pleasure. Though millions of Danios are used for lab research every year, because they are virtually transparent and so we know a lot more about these Danios than some others.
In any case, I sincerely doubt it had anything at all to do with water changes or anything you did. Just an unhappy coincidence. Condolences on the loss, it is always sad when things like this happen.
