What type of spiney eels is this

Pretty familiar with the spiney eels but this one doesn't stand out to me clearly. Is crossbreedING possible. Any help to give this great Lil guy the care he needs would be great

Also don't know if this helps but he changes color and patterns very quickly to a two toned dark brown

I thought the same but it's already about 12 inches and growing very fast .still possible I quess thinks for the help
