in your views what is the best filter to use for a 55 gallon tank? I'm purchasing used, this lady for an extra 50 would give me a "fluvial-in tank filter" what ever that is also included in the 50$ is two heaters. I've always had aqua clears, what are your views is this a good filter should I save my money and get an aqua clear I already have 2 heaters so I don't need 4 of them

They arent bad, fluval is made by the same parent company as aqua clear.

I am looking into a intank fluval for my invert/planted tank, I only run AC's now.

Id get a brand new AC70 for 50 bucks and call it a day.

I have an AC70 on a 52g tank and added a penguin 660R powerhead w/ sponge filter for a little bit of extra filtration. the two together are roughly 100 USD.

Find out what fluval it is. the new ones are neat.

I use Fluvial canister filters and love them. I don't know about the "in tank" filter.

+1 Eheims are IMO the best canisters out there but you will pay a premium for them.
