Whats the best way to stabilize pH?

Every day---7.9 in the morning and 8.2 at lights out.
I have a canopy right now and I'm building one in the next week or so for my VHO setup that going in. I'm going to vent it well so hopefully that will help out.

Any other tips?

do you have refugium?

nope. As is right now I dont have enough room. When I upgrade my tank down the road(not soon enough ) I will.

ive heard and experimenting right now...that having the lights on over the refugium when the mains lights are off will stabalize PH. hopefully someone will post some defintitive answer as to how this works if it does at all

Any why to get rid of the glass tops?

Its a plastic canopy
the one I'm buildingis wooden.
If I had a glass top I would just use a glass cutter
about $10 a the local hardware store

To be clear, I was talking about the glass cover directly over the top of the tank, not the canopy.
