When did you stop dosing ammonia when cycling?

Just curious how folks "weaned" their tanks off. Assuming a fishless cycle and several days of stability in ammonia and nitrites, water change to drop nitrates...

When you add fish - do you keep giving very small doses? For how long?

I'm trying to avoid starving the bacteria that I've been nurturing.

Stop when you add fish.
The bacteria will adapt to the bio load, it will get smaller at first but will regrow as the load slowly increases.
