So I switched my brackish coral theme to a river theme,I went to near by lake/Stream where there are nice rocks and branches Came home fix up tank (Nice set up by the way:) )But I started noticing white algae growing on one of the tree branches ,What can that be ????and would it be harmful to Oscars ??? I have 1 algae eater in tank He seems to be enjoying the algae Another question >If white algae is left in tank would it grow and turn green Cause I would really love the green plant look in my tank Currently have 7 giant river rocks 2 long wide branches and a crush coral bottom with small river rocks on top . .

It could be some type of fungus. Pictures? Did you boil your rocks and wood before you put it into your tank?
