I have a ryukin goldfish that has had white protruding pimples on his tail fin and dorsal fin. He's had these pimples for eight months now with no other side effects other than appearance. I was wondering if someone can help me identify what what it is and if possible any type of cure for it. I was thinking Marines salt but I want to make sure what it is before I do it. He's my buddy and I've had him for a long time.... I plan on upgrading his tank & having a few friends with him but I don't want the others catching what he has.
